Privacy policy

This site collects the bare minimum: an email address if you join the waiting list, and nothing else. No trackers, no advertising, no reselling. This page states exactly what is stored, why, and how to have it deleted.

Who is responsible for this data

Maxime Lafougère, publishing this site as an individual (not registered as a company at this date).
70 avenue du Général de Gaulle, 77330 Ozoir-la-Ferrière, France.
For any question about your data, write to contact@tonaven.com.

What is stored

When you join the waiting list, the following is stored:

Nothing else is attached to your sign-up.

Audience measurement

The site counts its own visitors, with no third-party service and no cookies. What is recorded: the page viewed, your browser language, the device category (phone, tablet or computer) and the site you came from, if any — its domain name only, never the full address.

Your IP address is never stored. It is used only, combined with your browser and a secret value that changes every day, to produce an anonymous fingerprint that avoids counting you twice on the same day. That fingerprint is useless the next day: nobody can be followed from one day to the next, or from one site to another.

If your browser sends the Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded at all.

Why

Solely to tell you how the product is progressing: when the compatibility list is published, and when it launches. You will receive neither a regular newsletter nor advertising.

On what basis

On your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, without having to give a reason.

For how long

Until the product launches, and at most three years after you sign up. After that your address is deleted. It is deleted immediately if you ask.

Where the data is stored

On our host's servers — Hostinger International Ltd — within the European Union. The data does not leave the European Union.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your address is not sold, rented, passed on to a third party, or used for advertising. Only the host, as a technical provider, runs the server it sits on.

Cookies

This site uses no cookies, no trackers and no analytics. That is why no consent banner appears: there is nothing to accept or refuse.

The compatibility tester

The tester runs entirely in your browser. Your piano's name and the test results only leave your computer if you choose to send them, by clicking the button provided. That report is technical — make, model, results — and contains no email address. The microphone permission the browser asks for is used only to read the names of your audio outputs: no sound is recorded or transmitted.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

To exercise these rights, write to contact@tonaven.com. Every message we send you will also carry a direct unsubscribe link. You will receive a reply within one month.

Complaints

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may complain to the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, or online at cnil.fr.
